The Early Days...
The band was founded on July 2nd, 2016 in Kitchener, Ontario and consisted of original members Mark Drew Waddell and Brandon Mustafa as well as former bassist, Nathan Hutchinson. The band started off nameless and was originally a Heavy Metal group. Mark and Brandon began coming up with names. Many names were suggested, Mark wanted a "more neutral sounding name" so the band came up with Neutralia, the idea of just adding an "ia" on the end of "neutral". It was also decided the genre be changed to acoustic. The band began work on their first batch of songs with the help of their friend, Tristan, those songs would never end up being released, about a dozen were written but only one was ever recorded that one was dubbed "See The Light". Just before September, Nathan dropped out which left the band only with Mark and Brandon.
September came and school started, grade 11 for Mark and Brandon as well as a search for new members. Unfortunately their search efforts were unsuccessful. Work on the band's first EP began in April and it only consisted of Mark on vocals and Brandon on guitar. Recording began and finished in May and the release date was set for July 30th, 2017.

Strange Addiction Era
As early as late June, Neutralia began recording their first album, "Strange Addiction". With Nathan back this time as the Assistant Manager, the band would have more support in the "behind the scenes" aspect. Production however would pause in early July as Beyond's release was fast approaching and Mark needed to divert his efforts to the post production editing and mastering of Beyond. In mid July, Strange Addiction's post production phase would officially begin and it would continue to early August and a November 3rd release was planned.
